Susan was born and raised in Atlanta, attending the Lovett School and then Duke University. While maintaining strong ties with family and friends in her hometown, she has spent most of her adult life as a resident of Marin County, California, where she and her husband Stephen have raised their two children, Carly and John.

Over the years, Susan has built a successful career as a top producing Realtor for Pacific Union, one of the Bay Area’s premier Real Estate Brokerages. She is also a dedicated environmental advocate, incorporating this activism into her work and volunteer activities: She was designated as Marin County’s first Ecobroker in 2006, was certified as a Green Building Professional with Build It Green and has served on the Green Committee for the Marin Association of Realtors. She is currently a volunteer/advocate for the Center for Environmental Health and has served as a co-host for a number of highly successful Captain Planet Events in Northern California. While her children attended the local elementary, middle and high schools, Susan played leadership roles in the Kentfield Schools and Redwood High School Foundations, Chairing their Annual Giving Campaigns and raising millions of dollars for those school districts. Now that her children are in college, she looks forward to focusing more time and energy on promoting environmental awareness and helping reduce the proliferation of plastics and other harmful pollutants.
