Christina Stevens, born in Sydney, Australia, is an award winning filmmaker and author, an aerobatic pilot, environmental strategist, and inspirational speaker. Christina speaks often at the United Nations on topics ranging from expanding consciousness to youth empowerment to solutions for global sustainability and happiness.
Working at the intersection of cultural promotion, eco-literacy and media communications, Christina specializes in inspiring global unity through out-of-the-box problem solving. From her early years in advertising, as creative troubleshooter for Young & Rubicam International, and later as Snr. VP & Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather, she created breakthrough models of universal marketing and communications.
Having lived and worked all over the world, Christina’s understanding and ability to address the complex trends at the apex of sustainability through the lens of wellbeing and happiness allows her to build bridges between Government, Corporations, NGO’s and civil society. Her focus on preserving a nation’s cultural roots and empowering its people leads to replicable innovative models that grow from the inside out, towards a safe and unified future. This has led her to developing nations on the forefront of global transformation ~ from the visionary Kingdom of Bhutan, to the culturally diverse nations of Indonesia and Myanmar.
Growing up in Sydney, Australia ~ the fifth generation in a prominent theatrical family, Christina is the great granddaughter of Randolph Bedford, M.L.A. member of Parliament, publisher and lauded as one of the most colorful personalities in Australian letters and politics; granddaughter of Madam Bedford-Young, acclaimed as Australia’s first female writer-producer-director and daughter of “Baby Peggy” beloved child star of the Australian Theatre.
While in Australia, Christina wrote a series of children’s books for Paul Hamlyn Publishing that are now collectors items. Her first memoir, LOVE: The Saint and the Seeker won the Grand Prize in the Hay House International Writing Competition out of hundreds of non-fiction entries from all over the world.
