Cucumber Mint Soda

This recipe will teach kids how to move away from canned, sugary drinks, and towards a healthy alternative with the same satisfaction.

Recipe Time

Ingredients

3 slices cucumber
2-4 mint leaves
1-2 Tbsp. sugar, simple syrup, mint syrup, agave nectar, honey,
or other sweetener (plus more to taste, if you like)
1 tsp. fresh lime juice
About 6 oz. club soda or seltzer water
Ice

Materials

Wooden spoon or muddler
Measuring utensils
Knives or cutters
Cutting boards
Glasses or cups

Directions

  1. For each soda, put cucumber slices, mint leaves, sugar or other sweetener, and lime juice in glass.
  2. Muddle or crush these ingredients with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon.
  3. Add soda, taste, and add more sweetener, if you like.
  4. Add ice and serve immediately.
