Deputy General Counsel (retired)
Paul Howell served as Deputy General Counsel, Litigation and Regulatory Disputes, and led the team responsible for managing litigation and regulatory disputes for Voya from 2001-2017 when he retired. Corporate Special Investigations also reported to Paul.
Prior to joining Voya, Paul was a founding partner of the law firm of Pursley, Howell, Lowery & Meeks, a firm that confined its practice to assisting clients in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Before that, he was a partner in the Atlanta office of the national law firm of Kutak Rock & Campbell. He served as a member of Kutak Rock’s Policy Board, the Atlanta office’s Management Committee and was Chairman of the Atlanta office’s Litigation Department for a number of years.
